Dermatitis

Red, reactive, irritated skin that keeps coming back. Looking beneath the surface to the cellular foundation.

Dermatitis simply means inflammation of the skin. It includes contact dermatitis (a reaction to something touching the skin), seborrhoeic dermatitis (flaky, red patches on the scalp, face and chest) and atopic dermatitis, the most common form of eczema. Each looks different, but all share an irritated skin barrier and a reactive immune response.

If you live with dermatitis, you know how it chips away at confidence: the flakes on a dark jumper, the redness around your nose, the hands that crack every winter. You've probably changed shampoos, soaps and detergents more times than you can count. You are not the problem.

What you've probably tried, and why it fell short

Avoiding triggers, medicated shampoos, antifungal and steroid creams all have their place and can bring real relief. But for many people the skin stays reactive, reacting to more things over time. Treating the surface can calm a flare. It doesn't change why the skin became so sensitive in the first place.

A different way to see it

Healthy skin is an active barrier, constantly renewing and defending itself. That takes energy, produced by Cellular Respiration in every skin cell, and it depends on what's happening inside: how much inflammatory load the liver is managing, how calm or stressed the nervous system is, and how balanced the gut is.

When those foundations are strained, the skin becomes the place it shows. The pH Method works from the inside out, starting with cellular energy, so your skin has more resilience to draw on.

The order we work in

  1. Cellular Respiration: strengthen the energy your skin barrier depends on
  2. Liver support: ease the internal load with the Gut & Liver Calm program
  3. Nervous system regulation: stress is one of the most common flare triggers
  4. Gut support: support the gut-skin connection once the foundation is in place

Why you can trust this approach

Phil Hoare lived with autoimmune conditions himself and spent years studying cellular respiration and the order in which the body regains balance. Identifying and avoiding clear triggers, such as a specific metal or chemical, still matters, and we encourage it. The pH Method is coaching and education that works alongside your medical team, never against them. Please don't stop or change medication without their guidance. Every body is different, and results vary.

What could feel different

Picture skin that doesn't react to every new product, a scalp that stays calm, hands that make it through winter. Less time managing your skin, and more confidence in it.

Your first step

Frequently asked questions about Dermatitis

What's the difference between eczema and dermatitis?+

Dermatitis is the broad term for skin inflammation. Eczema usually refers to atopic dermatitis, one specific type. Contact and seborrhoeic dermatitis are other common forms.

Can The pH Method help seborrhoeic dermatitis?+

The pH Method supports the internal foundations, cellular energy, liver load, stress and gut health, that influence how reactive the skin is. Many people find this complements their usual treatment, though results vary.

Do I still need to avoid my triggers?+

Yes. If you know something triggers a reaction, avoiding it remains important. The pH Method works on resilience from the inside, alongside sensible trigger avoidance.

Where should I start?+

Most people begin with Cell Reset and then move to Gut & Liver Calm. The Clarity Quiz will confirm your best starting point.
