Crohn's disease is a form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in which the immune system causes chronic inflammation that can affect any part of the digestive tract, from mouth to anus, most often the end of the small intestine. Symptoms include abdominal pain, diarrhoea, weight loss, fatigue and, for some, complications that need surgery.
If you live with Crohn's, you know the planning: bathrooms mapped in advance, meals chosen by fear rather than appetite, the exhaustion of a flare and the worry of when the next one will come. You've likely spent a lot of time in clinics. You are not the problem.
What you've probably tried, and why it fell short
Medical treatment for Crohn's, including steroids, immunosuppressants and biologics, is essential and can bring long remissions. The pH Method never replaces it. Alongside it, many people try special diets, supplements and probiotics, with mixed results, and are left feeling there must be more they can do between appointments.
A different way to see it
The gut lining renews itself every few days, and around 70% of the immune system lives in and around the gut. Both are hugely energy-hungry. When chronic inflammation meets cells that are short on energy, repair falls behind and the barrier weakens, which in turn feeds more inflammation.
The pH Method starts with Cellular Respiration, so the gut has the energy it needs to repair, then moves step by step through the nervous system, inflammatory load, the gut barrier and the microbiome.
The order we work in
- Cellular Respiration: restore the energy the gut lining and its immune cells depend on
- Nervous system regulation: calm the gut-brain axis, which strongly shapes symptoms and flares
- Inflammatory load reduction: ease the immune activation driving inflammation in the gut
- Gut barrier repair: support the integrity of the intestinal lining
- Microbiome restoration: rebuild the gut ecosystem once the environment can support it
This is what the Gut & Liver Calm program guides you through, built on the cellular foundation laid in Cell Reset.
Why you can trust this approach
Phil Hoare lived with autoimmune conditions himself and spent years studying cellular respiration and the order in which the body regains balance. With Crohn's, staying closely connected to your gastroenterologist is essential, and any dietary changes should be discussed with them, especially if you have strictures. The pH Method is coaching and education that works alongside your medical team, never against them. Please don't stop or change medication without their guidance. Every body is different, and results vary.
What could feel different
Picture eating a meal without bracing for what comes after. More energy between flares. A life that's planned around what you want to do, not where the nearest bathroom is.
Your first step
Take the free Clarity Quiz to see whether your Crohn's is asking for cellular, digestive, liver or complex support first. It takes under two minutes. If your picture feels complicated, a Solutions Call with Phil can help you find the right pathway, so you won't be guessing alone.
